Sanalist is a community list created by the Sindhi Association of North America (SANA). SANAis a non-profit organization whose objectives are to unite Sindhis in North America and everywhere; to defend the historic national rights of Sindhi people; to foster friendship and understanding between Sindhis and other nationalities; to educate people about Sindhi Civilization, philosophy, values, language, literature, history and heritage; to harness and bring under one umbrella of SANA, the potential energy, resources, and knowledge in Sindhis living in North America. In light of the above objectives, sanalist is created for the Sindhi community in North America to discuss and analyze the Sindh situation, to form a bond between Sindhis in North America and to enrich from the information flow. Rules and Regulations for Members

The list owner undertakes no responsibility to monitor the content of messages posted to the mailing list. By your continuing to receive messages from this list, you agree to hold list owner the SANALIST, SANA and its officers and members harmless for the content of the postings to this mailing list.

It is the list owner's understanding that the copyright for each note posted to the list belongs to the original sender. However, in an effort to foster the full and free exchange of information, and since each posting to the list is, in effect, a "public utterance," the author of each posted note will be deemed to have granted his or her consent to having that note retained in an archive of notes posted to the list so that future and current subscribers can benefit from previous exchanges.

During the course of discussion, it is natural that disagreements will occur between list members, which should be strictly focused on the issue only. While the list owner does not screen the content of posted messages personal attacks and other offensive and harassing conduct will not be tolerated. The members are encouraged to directly email such behavior to the list owner. The ordinary "remedy" will be for the list owner to remind all parties to refrain from offensive behavior. However, the list owner reserves the right to expel or suspend people from the list for repeated personal attacks against anybody.

Member’s knowledge or personal good manners do not entitle them to lecture others on their mistakes. The perceived mistakes of others should be politely pointed out to the concerned individual, preferably in private mail. This will develop a culture of tolerance on sanalist.
- Membership in sanalist is a privilege and not a right.
- SANA Executive Council has the ultimate authority over matters pertaining to sanalist.

Sanalist membership under assumed names is not permitted. All members are required to furnish information such as full name, mailing address and telephone number for the record.
- Since every list has its unique audience and they are created to serve their individual members, the practice of copying postings to or from other mailing lists is strongly discouraged.

The Executive Council will nominate a SANA member, as an administrator to maintain and operate sanalist for the period of one year and the term is renewable each year.

Only paid SANA members are eligible to become members of sanalist. All other membership is considered temporary and can be removed at any time.

Individuals living out side North America who are associate members/Honorary members of SANA can apply for full privileges to sanalist.

Sanalist is for Sindhi individuals and families of all colors and creed.

Freedom of speech is the basic pillar of sanalist as long as it is exercised within the norms of decency and does not violate the sanalist rules.

The postings on Sanalist must not be derogatory and put-down to any religion, faith, person or group. The postings must not contain personal attacks, indecent language, ethnic and racial slurs, sexist remarks, cursing and otherwise immoral behavior.

All postings on sanalist are required to show respect for others, not imposing member’s opinion or belief on others and be tolerating of other opinions.

Anyone found indulging in the discourse outside the civilized boundaries would be warned and subsequently removed.
- Members must sign their name, name of their hometown at the end of their posting.

Sanalist is an informal list for SANA members therefore members are encouraged to post messages of greetings, condolences and acknowledgments.

Try not to post lengthy messages, chain letters, as they are tiresome to many readers. Therefore members are urged not clutter up mailboxes of other users.

Subscribers should not in anyway assist or forward posting of anyone who has been suspended or removed from Sanalist.

A subscriber who indulges persistently in unnecessary arguments may be moderated individually by the administrator i.e. his account will be setup so that his postings will be reviewed by the Administrator before being posted on the sanalist.
Rules and Regulations for the Administrator

The Administrator is required to submit monthly report to the Executive Council of new arrivals, removals and other administrative matters of sanalist.

The Administrator must act as an independent arbitrator and must avoid himself to be party to any discussion or group.

The Administrator shall not solicit or advertise his business or business of his relatives or friends on sanalist.

The Administrative shall not sale or give away sanalist addresses to anyone without the written permission of the EC.

In case of new enrollments or removals if the EC does not intervene or contact the administrator, his decision is considered final.

The Administrator will appoint Co-Administrators of his choice to assist him in performance of his duties.
The above rules and regulations will be reviewed periodically and updated by the SANA EC in consultation with the list Administrator.
