SANA President, Dr Valeed Shaikh Met Community Members In Houstan,TX
SANA president Dr Valeed Shaikh, SANA Vice-President (Women) Ms Noornisa Ghanghro, regional secretary Mr Suhail Soomro, met with members of community in Houston on January 15, 2011.

Community members aired their voices regarding array of topics, ranging from activities of SANA to challenges we face, participants also suggested host of ways to make SANA even more active and engaging. President Dr Valeed Shaikh addressed the questions and issues discussed during the session.

The main areas that were covered were:

• Advocacy for human rights, tolerance and against extremism and violence.
• Community engagement in the activities of SANA
• Youth participation
• Welfare for people of Sindh
• Communication with Sindhi community
• Partnership with other Sindh and Sindhi based organizations

This was the first meeting of series of planned meetings that our current leadership has committed to, and as part of community outreach program. President and his team plans to have meetings in St. Louis, Atlanta, New York, San Francisco, Washington DC, Toronto, Calgary/Edmonton and other cities.
